A lifelong Oklahoman, Jeremy Humphers has held leadership roles with prominent companies in Oklahoma City for almost 30 years. In his current role as Bright Star’s president and CFO, Jeremy jointly oversees the advancement and production of the company’s resource exploration projects. He also oversees the company’s finance operations, including capital raising, capital allocation, project funding, investment returns and operational excellence. 

 

Jeremy’s career spans nearly three decades, with 26 years of experience in the energy sector, including more than 20 years at Devon Energy Corporation, one of the leading oil and gas companies listed among the Fortune 500 companies. At Devon, Jeremy was the chief accounting officer and was known for his ability to oversee and optimize large, value-oriented teams. Jeremy is known for his integrity, technical excellence, innovative mindset and relentless commitment to create value. 

 

Jeremy is also an avid volunteer. He has served in various leadership roles for the East Central University Foundation and is currently vice chair on the Executive Committee. He previously chaired the board of directors for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Norman Youth Soccer Association. Jeremy is also a deacon and the treasurer for the Norman Church of Christ. 

 

Jeremy holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from East Central University, where he graduated with highest honors. He was honored with East Central’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2021. Jeremy is a Certified Public Accountant and earned Oklahoma’s Bronze Medalist award for the CPA exam.
